The Great Escape music festival returns to Brighton 19-21 May, with 100 new acts already announced.

The festival will feature more than 450 up-and-coming acts in over 30 venues around the city. There will also be bandstands, acts and performers in Brighton’s streets and open spaces.

Malian singer Fatoumata Diawawa has been announced, and will be supported by blues punk band Songhoy Blues.

Among the recently-announced artists are folk singer Alice Phoebe Lou, YouTube star Alec Benjamin and rapper D Double E.

D Double E said: “I’m looking forward to coming to shell down The Great Escape Festival in Brighton with my brothers Frisco & Logan Sama! Bluku bluku!!”

The festival has also announced experimental pop act Lewis Del Mar, who said: “[We’re] stoked to be a part of such a cultural festival and to travel places we’ve never seen before.”
