National Museums Scotland Enterprises welcomed almost 400 clients and event professionals to the National Museum in Scotland for a venue showcase on 10 November.

The event, which was celebrating the museum’s 150th year, saw the venue transformed into a Victorian circus, complete with circus tent, acrobatic performers and a giant elephant.

Guests were treated to a range of delights from candyfloss cocktails to a chocolate dessert table, an extravagant seafood bar and even a sensory dining experience from the combined efforts of caterers Clerkenwell Green, Heritage Portfolio, Prestige Venues and Events and Wilde Thyme,

National Museums Scotland also worked with Core Event Services, Reel Time Events, Roseparks and Skylarks to provide entertainment and décor.

Robin Stewart, National Museums Scotland Enterprises director of hospitality and events, commented:“The event was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the stunning venue that is the National Museum of Scotland.

“We worked closely with our suppliers to put together the event and were delighted with how the evening ran. Feedback from our clients and guests has been overwhelming positive and we look forward to welcoming them back to the Museum soon.”
