The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) is set to host a two-day seminar on festival marketing, promotion and funding, on 30-31 October at the Showroom and Workstation in Sheffield.

Experts from the festival marketing field will explore topics including how to use the latest technologies and innovations affordably and effectively, various sources of festival funding, and RFID cashless technology.

The speakers will include Oliver Cameron, GM of marketing technology specialists Festival HQ, Kate Hewett of Tramlines, Steve Machin of Storm Crowd and The Dot Ticket Org, and Joe Elkins from Get Involved/Bestival.

There will be a networking dinner on the first day followed by an AIF Festival Social hosted by Tramlines.

The next event in the winter seminar series will focus on festival financials, taking place on 12 November in London.
