Popular gaming app Candy Crush is celebrating the launch of a new game by erecting a large temporary bouncy castle for grownups on London’s Southbank.

‘Bouncingham Castle’, which was opened by pop star Alesha Dixon, comprises 740 square metres of fabrics and stands at seven metres high. It took a team of 25 people six weeks to construct and is roughly the length of a double-decker bus.

The castle has multi-sensory elements, emitting a raspberry scent and making noises from the new game, which is called Candy Crush Jelly Saga, when jumpers bounce on certain squares.

Designed by King Digital Elements, the castle will only be open to the public until 6pm on Saturday 5 March.
