The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series – Portsmouth 2016 has announced details of their new interactive corporate hospitality area, ‘The Victory Lounge’.

The Victory Lounge is available to companies wanting a sporting corporate hospitality day at the sailing competition.

Claire Brand, managing director – Event Services, Sportsworld (creators of the hospitality experience) said: “The Victory Lounge is the ‘must attend’ hospitality event of the year. Guests will be right in the heart of the excitement to see the best sailors and the world’s fastest flying boats – the magnificent foiling, wing-sailed 45ft catamarans – taking to the water.

“The sport is obviously the core entertainment, however we have used both high and low tech to create a multi-layered interactive environment that immerses and entertains guests throughout the day; before, during and after the racing.”

When the teams aren’t racing, guests will be able to get hands on with the Harken grinder challenge and also compete in their own sailing races – as the importance of wind is demonstrated using a four meter tank of water and miniature boats. Guests will also be able to get up close to the America’s Cup itself and be guided through the day by two experienced and entertaining MCs. The competing teams will be visiting The Victory Lounge throughout the day – and there may also be a visit from a skipper or two.

The experience will also guide guests through the history of the America’s Cup, charting the technology and human endeavour behind the world’s oldest sporting trophy.

The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series in Portsmouth takes place 21-24 July.
