AV specialist Anna Valley Corporate & Events has delivered the 360-degree LED video display at the worldwide premiere of Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk. The film’s debut took place on July 13 in Leicester Square Gardens. Limited Edition Event Design produced the event on behalf of Warner Brothers.
Anna Valley was tasked to convey the epic proportions of Nolan’s stunning cinematography and bring the movie to life for the thousands of fans attending the event.
The company achieved this by creating a 360-degree viewing experience using eight high-resolution outdoor LED displays.
“We worked with Anna Valley on the last Bond world premiere of Spectre and knew they had the right equipment – and attitude – for the job,” comments Limited Edition Event Design MD James Barnfather.
In a statement, the team says Anna Valley’s 4mm outdoor display LED was chosen as it provides both the resolution needed for audiences standing close to the screens and the brightness needed for video display at outdoor events.
Each 4.5x2m screen consisted of 36xOD4 LED panels, erected two metres from the ground on a six-metre high Layher tower using a customised mounting system.
The towers were clad in solid black panels to offset the dramatic visuals, which were played back via a Hippo media server.
Commenting on the project, Nick Hart, Anna Valley director, says: “This premiere was based around an exceptional video display and we’re proud to have helped Limited Edition Event Design deliver a fantastic event for Warner Brothers.”
