In 2015 The O2 was crowned the world’s busiest venue for the eighth consecutive year and welcomed more than two million visitors to the arena.

The venue sold its 15 millionth ticket during the year and welcomed One Direction back to the arena for the 21st time, entering the band into The O2’s prestigious ’21 Club’.

The venue has also released its key statistics for 2015, selling 603,398 pints of beer and welcoming 50,000 country music fans to C2C 2015.

Rebecca Kane Burton, general manager of The O2, said: “2015 was an amazing year for The O2 with new records set, new residencies established and three new members of our 21 Club.  While nobody has matched Prince’s record of a straight 21-night run, we’re delighted that our venue has played host to so many stars, so many times.  We know it’s a hit with performers and fans alike and the team is excited about 2016 with a fantastic mix of music, entertainment and sporting fixtures already in the diary.”
