Set to be the biggest BRITs yet, the event will be headlined by the Arctic Monkeys and Katy Perry, and again hosted by James Corden live at The O2 on 19 February 2014.

It is the fourth time the London venue has hosted the BRITS, which has also extended its relationship with ITV for another three years.

AEG, the owner of The O2, has renewed its deal for a further three years to confirm The O2 will play host to the show until at least 2016.

New BPI chairman Tony Wadsworth added: “The BRITs story continues to reach new heights even after more than 30 years. The constant change and reinvention ensures it stays the number-one music event in the calendar and brings new opportunities and renewed commitment from our partners, especially ITV, MasterCard and AEG.”

Tom Miserendino, president and CEO of AEG Europe, said: “I am delighted that the BRIT Awards are coming back to The O2 for a fourth year. During the last four years we have demonstrated that The O2 really is the home of the BRITs, and long may it continue.”
