Bournemouth International Centre and Bournemouth Pavilion have announced a busy season of new and returning events for 2018 and a business pipeline worth £100m for the town over three years.

The UK Dance Championships kicked off the year with competitors from Europe, Asia and America, all vying for top places in Latin and Ballroom. The event is a firm fixture in the dance industry calendar brought 4,500 competitors and visitors from around the world for three days.

In March, the Green Party will be holding its spring conference between 3-4 March. 600+ delegates are expected to attend the conference, its core policy-setting workshops and plenaries.

In July, Future Cheer International – Europe’s largest cheerleading and dance competition – returns to Bournemouth International Centre for its tenth year, bringing 21,000 competitors and visitors to the region.

In the autumn, returning and new clients include the British Association for Critical Care Nurses, the Society for Acute Medicine, College of Podiatry and British Society of Interventional Radiology for their annual conferences and exhibitions.

The Arts University Bournemouth, Bournemouth University, Anglo European Chiropractic College and National Citizens Service will also be hosting their graduation ceremonies this year attracting more than 15,000 people.

There are also new and returning public expos – providing entertainment across a range of genres appealing to food and drink fans and hobby-goers alike. Entoyment’s wargames event, Beachhead 2018, returns for its third year on Saturday 17 February 2018.

With a selection of participation and demonstration games, alongside an excess of traders exhibiting the best items the hobby has to offer, this event is billed as a must for anyone with an interest in this field.

The 9th Annual Big Bournemouth Beer Festival is set to take place from 30 March-1 April 2018, with a range of novelty beers, traditional real ales, cider and Perry bar and a wine bar.

And the UK’s biggest cheese touring festival Cheese Fest UK is coming to Bournemouth for the first time. Taking place on Saturday 7 April 2018 visitors will be able to choose from an array of incredible flavours from some of the UK’s best cheese traders.

For food and drink fans, the Naked Wines Summer Tour rolls into town on Sunday 24 June.

Following shortly after will be Prosecco Festival, the UK’s original and largest touring festival, landing at Bournemouth Pavilion from Friday 13-Saturday 14 July 2018. The festival will features 40 different types of prosecco, fizz, cocktails and also Peroni for the non-fizz drinkers, live entertainment and Italian Street Food.

And one of the most anticipated events for aviation fans, Bournemouth Air Festival, takes place from 30 August-2 September. Since its launch in 2008, the event has drawn millions of spectators and is one of the country’s top tourist events. With its beach top location and delicious hospitality events, Bournemouth International Centre’s vantage has one of the best views in town.

“2018 has kicked off with a host of new and returning events which will, over the course of the year, attract thousands of delegates and visitors to the town. As well as delivering a platform for learning, networking, collaboration and enjoyment, events such as these, hosted in our venues, support more than 4,500 local jobs. In addition, we predict that they will also generate in the region of £100m in economic benefit for the town over the course of the next three years.”

Representatives from BH Live and Bournemouth International Centre will be exhibiting at International Confex at Olympia from 28 February-1 March and can be located in the main arena on stand number J19C.
