Bristolians were given a wet’n’wild treat when Richmond Event Management (REM) turned a city street into a temporary water slide.

The Park Street Slide was installed in Bristol’s City Centre as part of the “Make Sundays Special” programme.

Starting at 5am, the REM team closed down Park Street and began installing the slide. Throughout the day, 65,000 spectators came to watch 350 members of the public take on the water slide.

“The water slide was the vision of local artist Luke Jerram and it was our privilege to turn that vision into a hugely successful reality on our home patch,” said Mike Richmond, managing director of REM.

Local suppliers AP Security, SAS Barriers, Hintons Rescue, The Powerline Ltd, King PA, Instant Marquees and Brandon Hire all pitched in to make sure the event ran smoothly.
