National Events Month has announced its Outdoor, Music, Cultural and Sporting week.

The Outdoor events sector ranges from festivals, music, agriculture shows, sporting and charity events small or large. Sporting events account for £2.3bn, with music events at £1.3bn and festivals and cultural events at £1.1bn, making up a stunning £5.8bn industry.

National Events Month is a celebration of UK events. Britain for Events has now dedicated an event week to outdoor, music, cultural and sporting events.

The week will kick off with a host event with the Association of Independent Festivals’ (AIF) Festival Congress, taking place in Cardiff on 17–18 October.

The Festival Congress will be hosted over two days, with an array of inspiring speakers from the outdoor event industry. An award party will be held during the event, which will celebrate the very best of festival events and the hard work of the members involved.
