Arena Group provided VIP service to the 2014 Brit Awards at the O2 for the fourth year running.

Arena’s sister companies Well Dressed Tables and Spaceworks delivered over 40,000 items of furniture and catering equipment for the pre-show meal. 1,500 celebrities and VIP guests enjoyed dinner and drinks on the main O2 Arena floor, with a further 980 VIPs dining in an adjacent temporary party venue.

This temporary space was built and installed by Arena Structures. It was emptied during the show so that Well Dressed and Spaceworks’ project manager David Nicholas and his team could get the space ready for the Brits after-show party.

The team cleared the 40m by 60m room and reset it for the ‘Alice in Wonderland’-themed party. Later, Rudimental, fresh off their main show performance with Bastille, gave the Spaceworks tables an unlikely second life by dancing on the table tops.

“Timings were planned very precisely,” Nicholas said. “On the day, we collaborated with the O2 and Payne & Gunter teams seamlessly to deliver a spectacular event.” This was Nicholas’ eighth Brit Awards.

Arena Structures also provided the 20m by 25m media centre that played host to journalist covering the Brits.
