Visual technology company Christie partnered with Barneys New York’s flagship store in Manhattan to create ‘A New York Holiday’.

On 20 November, the store got in the festive spirit offering a family shopping experience in a bricks and mortar setting, creating a series of window displays facing Madison Avenue and an in-store gallery using Christie’s visual technology.

The store is using Christie’s projectors, MicroTiles and HD flat panel monitors.

Twenty-five per cent of sales from ‘A New York Holiday’ items will be donated to Jay Z’s charity, the Shawn Carter Foundation, which awards post-secondary scholarships to students facing socio-economic hardships.

“Barneys New York had an overwhelmingly positive response from customers and designers last year to our holiday windows, which have become known for their innovative use of immersive and interactive narrative with cutting-edge technology that leads people into our store,” said Barneys New York’s creative director Dennis Freedman.
