Audiovisual specialist Creative Technology (CT) has announced the acquisition of The Wireless Works, a business which specialises in delivering radio communications, intercom and data services to the broadcast and live event markets.

The Wireless Works has worked alongside CT at a number of events including Wimbledon, Glastonbury and the Olympic Games.

Founded in 2002, The Wireless Works will continue to operate as normal for the immediate future, with Tristian Bickerton remaining as managing director.

Early in 2017, following CT’s expansion into larger premises, The Wireless Works will move to Crawley and merge into the CT business. At this time, Bickerton will assume a sales and business development role.

Bickerton commented: “I am incredibly proud of everything we have achieved over the last 15 years since I founded the firm. We have developed a unique position in a highly specialist sector. The team at The Wireless Works is, and continues to be, the best in our business. As we start a new chapter in the life of this company, I am excited about the future and the opportunities we share together.”

Dave Crump, CT’s CEO for Europe and the Middle East, added: “We have known Tristian for many years; he worked at CT prior to forming The Wireless Works and we have worked closely together ever since, often for the same clients and regularly at the same events. We are a highly respected specialist business, combining the best people with latest technology to deliver the highest quality and most innovative audiovisual and associated services to an enviable client base. The Wireless Works will further strengthen that offering and our position.”
