David Bowie has released his first single in eight years, Where Are They Now?, marking the singer’s 66th birthday.
An album, The Next Day, produced by long-term collaborator Tony Visconti, follows in March, and promoters/festival organisers must be salivating at the prospect of landing a turn from the reclusive star.
Bowie’s last headline set was in Scheeßel, Germany in 2004. A final date on the Reality Tour.
“Throwing shadows and avoiding the industry treadmill is very David Bowie,” a spokesman said.
