David Haye will return to The O2 in May for a second fight as he pursues the World Heavyweight Title.

The announcement comes just 10 days after ‘The Hayemaker’ won his comeback fight at The O2 on 16 January. It took just 131 seconds to knockout WBA Top 10-ranked Mark De Mori (pictured).

This second fight will take place on 21 May, with an opponent yet to be named.

Rebecca Kane Burton, general manager at The O2, told Access: “The O2 is fast becoming the home of boxing and we’re delighted to have David back again in May. His comeback fight was astonishing and the atmosphere in the arena was electric. We have Anthony Joshua making a return to the ring in April and then David Haye a month later. It’s shaping up to be another excellent year for boxing fans at The O2.”

Haye’s January fight was attended by 16,000 people, including Benedict Cumberbatch and Idris Elba.

Tickets for the fight go on general sale tomorrow (29 January) through AXS.com.
