A busy sporting weekend saw De Boer in action at two leading golf tournaments in the UK – The Senior Open Championship Presented by Rolex at Royal Birkdale and The ISPA Handa Ladies European Masters at The Buckinghamshire.

Both events provided golf fans with thrilling finishes with Mark Wiebe winning The Senior Open after the longest play-off in the tournament’s 27-year history.

Meanwhile, Australian Karrie Webb, the world number seven, secured victory beating South African Ashleigh Simon by a single shot.

De Boer, one of the sponsorship partners for the Ladies European Masters, provided facilities for catering and merchandising, including their Acropolis structures. It was the second successive year De Boer has supplied to the Ladies European Tour event.

“We are really delighted to have such a good working relationship with the team at the Ladies European Tour and The Buckinghamshire,” sales director – events John Cochrane said. “It’s a terrific golf course situated in a perfect location for this prestigious event on the ladies circuit.”

At Royal Birkdale, De Boer supplied a wide range of structures including a glass panelled Alu Vista Hall for the Rolex Pavilion with an exterior terrace and kitchen and toilet facilities plus a public bistro, also with kitchen and terrace areas.

The company also supplied The Senior Open Media Centre and facilities around the course including merchandising and reception areas plus accommodation for tournament officials and medical personnel – utilising De Boer’s Acropolis and Pyramid range.
