New research, commissioned by temporary structures specialist De Boer, reveals that over half of senior event professionals are feeling extremely confident about the industry in 2016.

De Boer’s events sales director John Cochrane commented on the survey’s results exclusively to Access in the above video.

The De Boer #Eventprof Summer Review was conducted in November 2015 amongst 100 managers, organisers and professionals explores their views on last summer’s event season. Industry professionals suggested that the most encouraging aspects from last year were the increased number of events and the upturn in business opportunities.

Nine in 10 participants said that their event spend had either remained the same or had grown in 2015, over 60 per cent of respondents were also pleased with the season’s profitability.

Three quarters of event professionals said that they felt the summer of 2015 delivered enjoyable and successful events, with 83 per cent saying they were particularly happy with the high attendance rates. 

Event professionals also cited strong relationships with third party suppliers as central to the success of many of last summer’s events, with 85 per cent saying they were pleased with the service provided by temporary structure and project management specialists; 80 per cent for food service and hospitality providers; and 79 per cent for venue hire.
