Special effects firm Quantum has teamed up with Mercedes to be a part of magician Dynamo’s latest stunt with former F1 driving legend David Coulthard.
 
Coulthard navigated the course at the top-secret location in the South West, then joined Dynamo for his lap.
 
The magician’s lap however, had a slight twist as arches of fire were set up around a winding race track that Dynamo had to navigate through, while blindfolded.
 
“Before Dynamo began his lap, he asked his passenger what time he thought he could complete the lap in. Did Coulthard guess the lap time correctly? No – but he did say the time Dynamo was expecting him to say,” a spokesman from Quantum said.
 
Earlier this year, the firm were awarded Special Effects Company of The Year at The Event Production Awards for a second consecutive year, and launched its sister company Quantum Special Effects Corporation in Dallas, Texas.
