The five finalists of the Access All Areas/Event Production Show stand competition have been announced.

Access editor Emma Hudson revealed the shortlist in a video released today (21 September). They are: The Other Guys UK, Flower Show Presents, HighGrove Events, Trotter UK Mobile Billboards and Agency105.

Now, it is up to readers to pick the two winners. Each winner will receive a 3m x 2m shell scheme stand and a basic furniture package, complete with a literature wrap, table, bar stools, lockable cupboard, sockets and lighting.

“The response to our competition with EPS was staggering,” Hudson said. “We’re so pleased that the industry has got behind this, and is as eager as we are to see some new events industry talent at the 2017 Event Production Show.”

The competition aims to help small businesses get more exposure in the events industry.

Trotter UK Mobile Billboards
They say: “We believe our company should win this opportunity for several reasons. Firstly our product is innovative, state of the art and the first of its kind in the UK.

“Having beetrotterdotuk_logon designed and engineered in the Netherlands, where they have enjoyed much success with the product, it is really starting to catch on here in the UK. Secondly, one of our biggest markets since our induction in the UK has been the events market. We have worked at the Rugby World Cup, V Festival, RIAT, World Snooker Championships, The Ashes, Wembley Stadium, Cheltenham Festival and Edinburgh Festival in our first 15 months in business.
“We feel an opportunity to showcase ourselves at the Event Production Show will help bring the product to the forefront of the people and companies who don’t yet know about us.
Finally, we have the capacity with the number of units we store in the UK to service some of the biggest events here.”

The Other Guys UK
They say: “In 2014, four best friends from drama school found themselves ‘resting’, out of work, desperate to perform and eager to do what they do best – entertain!

“With no financial backing we created The Other Guys Entertainment Ltd, with our flagship act billed as ‘The Other Guys: A tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.’ Dipping into our own pockets (of what very little we had) we rented a studio space and created a show with the ambition to perform it all over the world.img_7852

“Despite our success, running a business has been incredibly hard and we were obviously rather naive when it came to operations such as equipment costs, costume costs, travel costs, tax and VAT.
“We are very proud with what we have achieved but taking ourselves to the next level is incredibly hard. We would love to break into the corporate world but are incredibly aware that will not happen over night. We would love the opportunity to win this competition. We would guarantee to set the atmosphere and tone of EPS with our cheeky-chappy performances!”

“We take pride in our events and our team and would love the opportunity to show you the amazing things we can do.”

HighGrove Events
They say: “I am a start-up professional events management business that began in April after 15 years as an events manager at a local authority and am keen to gain the exposure that such a big show will bring.

“It’s still early days but it has been a promising start. I’ve secured work through contacts that I have known and worked with over the years and with people who know me, believe in me and trust me to deliver. I am now trying to raise my profile to the rest of the industry to let them know that I am here, have significant events experience and can help them with their events. I can especially help them dealing with local authorities and help make that easier.fullsizerender

“Winning this competition opportunity will be a big help to giving me some of the added exposure I need and would be a massive reward for the time I have and continue to invest.”

Flower Show Presents
flowershowThey say: “Flower Show Presents has been set up by Katie Kearns to provide fresh flower workshops, influences by culture, art and music. The workshops are held in pop-up locations all over Sussex and London. We also create workshops for corporate events and large parties.

“We are a fairly new business and have a very limited budget. We know people would love what we do if they see us. The Event Production Show would be ideal start for us.”
