EPS spotlights event SMEs with new competition

Access All Areas has teamed up with the Event Production Show (EPS) to help small businesses keen to get more exposure in the events industry.

New businesses with less than £1m in turnover can enter to win a 3m x 2m shell scheme stand at EPS 2017, which will come with a basic furniture package (stocked with a literature wrap, a table, bar stools, lockable cupboard and sockets and lighting).

Initial entry runs until 2 September, at which point a shortlist of six will be announced. The public will then choose the two winners via an online vote on social media.

“Our goal is to grow the industry we serve,” said Duncan Siegle, publishing director of Mash Media, Access’ publisher. “That means putting the spotlight on new event professionals and giving them an opportunity for wide exposure to event organisers, production managers and other key industry figures.”

To enter, companies should visit this exclusive Access All Areas link.

The terms and conditions for entry are:

·      Never exhibited at a UK exhibition or show before

·      No more than three years old

·      Turnover less than £1m

Access editor Emma Hudson commented: “This is great way to meet the new faces of the live events industry. We want to highlight the companies that are helping to expand and push the industry forward – and what better way to do that than by giving them prime space at the biggest gathering of event profs in the UK?”

The competition is also part of Mash Media’s newly launched Industry Initiative (I.I).

The Event Production Show takes place 1-2 March 2017 at Olympia London. It is co-located once again with International Confex, and is joined this year by the recently acquired office* show.
