Organiser ESP Recruitment is looking for senior figures from the event industry to volunteer as “Nicks and Karrens” for this year’s Eventice competition.

The Apprentice-style competition is designed to bring the next generation of talent into the event industry.

The Nicks and Karrens will shadow the contestants and feedback to the employers, at the Event Production Show on Tuesday 11 February, as they compete in a number of challenges for a chance to win a job with either global experiential agency George P Johnson or teambuilding agency the Bluehat Group.

“Previous ‘Nicks and Karrens’ include Petra Bones, currently head of banqueting and events at Historic Royal Palaces,” said ESP Recruitment’s managing director Liz Sinclair.

“The tasks usually take anything from an hour to three hours so it isn’t a massive investment of time and its great exposure to emerging talent in the market.”
