Eventbrite, the self-service ticketing platform, has joined the Britain for Events campaign.

The campaign, which runs from October 2015 to March 2016, will see Eventbrite join a further 20 partners to promote the UK as a leading live events destination.

Michael Hirst OBE, chair of the Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP), said: “We are very pleased to welcome Eventbrite once again as a partner of Britain for Events and are extremely grateful for their continued support. I would encourage other major organisations across the events industry to get behind this important campaign and become involved.”

“At Eventbrite, we aim to bring the world together through live experiences, and that is a passion we share with Britain for Events,” said Marino Fresch, Eventbrite’s head of marketing for the UK and Ireland. “We are proud to partner with a campaign that recognises and helps to grow the importance of live events all across the UK.”

This year’s campaign will see a number of events taking place, including an industry reception which takes place at The Mermaid, London, Parliamentary Dinner at The Conrad St James and several industry debates, all of which will take place ahead of the launch of the new All Party Parliamentary Group for Events, the details of which will be announced shortly.

Other campaign partners include UBM, IMEX, Visit Scotland, Visit England, SECC, George P Johnson and ABPCO.
