Fan-Funded Festival Smashes Kickstarter Target

Alt Fest, a three-day ‘celebratation of alternative culture, art, music and lifestyles’ from 15 to 17 August 2014, smashed its Kickstarter fundraising target, raising the requisite £30,000 from supporters in   Having launched phase two of its crowd-funding via Kickstarter on Monday 4th March 2013, organisers smashed the £30,000 initial target in the first six days of the four week campaign.

In keeping with Kickstarter’s terms and conditions, projects can continue to raise money until the completed term of the campaign even after reaching the target amount and the festiival team hopes to reach at least £50,000 before completing phase two.
