The Festival of Marketing has appointed Guidebook for the second year to deliver the event’s mobile event guide this year.

The marketing event, which takes place on 11-12 November at London’s Tobacco Dock, brings together 3,000 marketers, brands and agencies to ‘celebrate, discover, connect and shape the future of marketing’. More than 200 speakers are scheduled across 12 content stages over the course of the two-day festival.

Guidebook’s app will have an increased level of functionality, including peer-to-peer elements and sponsor engagement; users will be able to pre-book sessions to create personalised agendas. Standard features, such as registration, agenda management and award ceremonies management, will also be included.

“Growing the event has always been very important, so naturally we wanted to expand the functionalities of the app,” said Laura Wall, group marketing manager at the festival’s organiser Econsultancy. “All sessions can now be booked through the app, even during the show; previously it was only possible to do this in advance, so the user experience has been drastically improved.”

Wayne Morris, general manager for EMEA at Guidebook, said: “We’ve been assisting in the promotion of the guide, with all ticket buyers receiving the download code. We expect adoption rate to surpass the already high 70 per cent that was achieved last year.”
