It was a busy weekend for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park this weekend.

Not only did London’s newest park play host to the Tour de France as it sped through on its way to The Mall, but the British Grand Prix also set up house there with its official F1 Fan Zone.

The first of its kind in the UK, the Fan Zone had been in the planning for three years. The event was co-produced by Event!Merchandising along with F2 Fanzone London Ltd.

Giant screens showed all the racing action from Silverstone through 4-6 July, along with a Fan Zone village full of activities, including F1 simulators, a F1 car display, a ‘chill zone’ with live music, and autograph sessions and a podium photo finish booth.

Fans’ talents were tested in the Pit Stop Challenge – as well as try out the F1 driver physical conditioning programme in the F1 Driver Fitness tent.

Event!Merchandising has more than 30 years’ experience providing bespoke merchandise and retail experiences at events like The BRITs, The Rugby World Cup, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and Crufts.

The company also was an official licensee and retailer at the London 2012 Olympics.
