Access last night (3 November) attended the launch of The O2’s American Express Invites Lounge, and took pictures.

The space was opened after The O2 announced it is re-launching its VIP membership and VIP lounge following a £2.6m investment.

The American Express Invites Lounge (AEIL) opens to members on 19 November after a complete redesign.

The new look lounge, designed by Brighton based Platform Group, has been created to give members ‘the full backstage experience’.

“With our new look lounge and membership I believe The O2 is taking the VIP experience to a new level,” Rebecca Kane, general manager at The O2 said. “No other venue can provide the best in music, comedy and sport and give VIPs the feeling that they and their guests are the stars in their own backstage area. I know our VIP membership will be the hottest ticket for all those wishing to entertain.”

The VIP membership has been created in response to growing demand from corporate clients and private high-net-worth individuals. VIP membership is £4,500 per person, includes ten shows of the member’s choice annually, guaranteed access to every show with the best seats in the house, entry to the new American Express Invites Lounge and a dedicated account manager.
