Speaking at the NME Awards, the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl confirmed the rock behemoth will be headlining Glastonbury Festival.

Grohl revealed the exciting news in a video announcement after being crowned Best International Band at the music bible’s awards ceremony at London’s 02 Academy Brixton.

“We’re very thankful and very happy – sorry we couldn’t make it tonight, but we will be seeing you over the summer at some big outdoor festival that nobody knows we’re playing. It’s Glastonbury,” Grohl said. “So we’ll see you at Glastonbury – thanks a lot everybody.”

This year’s festival features a talent competition.
