Event production company Gorilla Marketing & Events designed and built a marketing vehicle for sports eyewear manufacturer, Oakley, to be used in promotional events across Europe, Gorilla will also be managing the logistics for the tour which will visit events in UK, Netherlands, Belgium in 2018.

Gorilla MD Andy Gregorek, said: “Oakley came to us with the concept of a marketing vehicle to attend numerous European events and it needed to have AV and sound capability for small scale event support.”

“Once all possibilities had been considered, we worked with Oakley to modify the brief and, after developing new concepts, 3D visuals, feasibility study and engineering plans, the final build was a vehicle with sound capabilities and a separate sales / marketing trailer. The project took just 12 weeks from signing off final designs,” added Gregorek.

Gorilla will be managing the Oakley trailers event logistics, within the UK and mainland Europe, on its international operators licence

The trailer has been equipped with a fully folding and branded roof gantry for increased visibility when on site, roof mounted promotional flags, an electrically operated fold down stage with aluminium steps and handrails and its own build in gas powered generator for reduced carbon emissions. It has also been fitted with a 75 inch TV, 48 inch TV, radio, mic, Apple TV and a sound system suitable for 250 people. The hospitality is extended further with a built in coffee machine.

“We came to Gorilla with an idea for a promotional vehicle to help drive brand awareness and engagement at our sponsored events. Working closely with Andy and his team we created two functional field marketing assets, an Oakley branded vehicle and trailer, which have proven to be a great success at the Silverstone Moto GP and The Tour of Britain. We’re looking forward to working with Gorilla in the future,” Ben Goss, global marketing director.
