The first Greener Festival Awards for 2012 have been announced with 21 European, American and British festivals winning the badge alongside eight events in Australia.
In the ‘Outstanding’ category, gongs went to the likes of The Oya Festival in Norway, The Croissant Neuf Summer Party, The Sunrise Celebration and Shambala in the UK, We Love Green in France, Ilosaarirock in Finland and Boom Festival in Portugal.
A final list of winners will be made in early November before the UK Festival Awards.
