Creative technical production company Hawthorn has returned to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the 26th time.

The company is providing sound, lighting, AV and technical equipment at Fringe venues, including the New Town Theatre, St Stephen’s Church and Augustines. The Hawthorn crew will be working on more than 200 shows from countries including Romania, China and Australia.

Eight trucks have headed up to Scotland with equipment that includes Hawthorn’s recent investments: the ETC Ion and Gio control desks, which were purchased specifically for this year’s Fringe.

“We are very excited to have been given the opportunity to work with our clients to supply key venues of this internationally recognised festival for the 26th year in a row,” said Hawthorn’s head of hire David Slater.

“The festival is a hot-bed for emerging acts and features many different forms of the traditional arts, which demands a broad range of equipment and expertise. It is a delight to be so ingrained in supporting the delivery of these shows, enabling creative talent to shine.”
