The International Live Music Conference (ILMC) has launched an event with exclusive showcases and Q&As, The International Festival Forum (IFF).

The event will be an invitation-only event aimed at festivals and agents, taking place in London from 30 September – 1 October, 2015.

Founding association partners on the event are the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), De Concert!, the International Jazz Festivals Organisation and International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA) Europe. Founding agency partners include The Agency Group, Coda, Primary Talent International and X-ray Touring.

“The philosophy behind IFF is two-fold,” says ILMC’s Greg Parmley. “First, to build a unique forum where leaders and innovators in the festival world can meet and exchange ideas; and second, to provide a platform for festivals and agencies with targeted networking, Q&As and by showcasing the best festival-ready, agency-signed artists.”

Ruud Berends, from Networking Music, a partner on IFF, said: “It’s hugely exciting to create this new platform in London matching all the international buyers and sellers in an organic way during such a key period of the year.”

The Agency Group’s MD Geoff Meall added: “I’m very pleased to joining the advisory board for the nascent IFF. I thinks it’s a fascinating initiative that will strive to bring festival bookers and the agents closer together in a more productive fashion than current exists.”

IFF takes place across two venues: Proud Camden and historic music venue Dingwalls next door. The morning element will feature panels and workshops, while the afternoon and evening is dedicated to agency Q&As and showcases.
