Drp Group has celebrated its 35th anniversary, welcoming more than 900 guests to West Midlands Safari Park and Spring Grove where a large-scale outdoor show was held.

Park tours, workshops and a gala dinner were followed by a showcase finale with live animation, said to be the same production size as the main stage of Glastonbury. The entire Drp team took to the stage and a fireworks show followed.

The finale show was followed by an after party on the lawn marquee complete with a DJ and a set from Drp’s very own band, ‘The Possiblers’.

Before being transported to Spring Grove Guests, guests enjoyed a drinks reception amongst the safari park’s dinosaur attraction, where the formal gala dinner and showcase finale was held, followed by the show after party.

All the guests had access to the park’s usual attractions including all rides and toured the park reserve on the safari bus. The Drp team put on a huge production and entertainment schedule with workshops, a history of Drp, a live steel band, digital and interactive activities and the Hipcats performing live on the outdoor stage.

Meanwhile, the team at Drp have so far completed 28 out of the 35 CSR projects they promised to deliver in their 35th year and have raised over £1m in their time working with charity Springboard UK.

Dale Parmenter, group CEO, said: “This 35th anniversary celebration event has been an extremely momentous occasion for all of us here at Drp. The team have put in months of enormous effort to ensure that this was a spectacular day and night for all and ultimately highlighted our promise to clients that ‘anything’s possible’.

“This milestone celebration has been by far the most elaborate and exciting to date and it’s only going to get bigger and better. I am delighted to have shared our history and indeed our future with our guests and this has been a true testament to the hard work and creativity that our company is based on.”
