Introducing Festout

The Festival and Outdoor Events Show organisers give you an insight to their debut event this autumn

The Festival and Outdoor Events Show is the brand new show launching by the organisers of the Event Production Show and the publishers of Access All Areas. Taking place at Sandown Park in Surrey on 27–28 September, the event will provide business opportunities, education and networking to the outdoor events industry.

The venue opens itself up to options for indoor and outdoor stands, enabling various providers and suppliers of events to showcase their abilities to the industry at the show, making it the perfect experience for festival and outdoor organisers.

Festout considers all interests within the industry, including music, sport, cultural and public spectrums. This is reflected in the seminars, panels and workshops hosted at
the show. Specialists will be able to indulge from a wide range of topics, from practical considerations to debating current issues. Th
e Festival and Outdoor Events Show’s sister event, The Event Production Show, has partnered with Major Events International for the past two years, and hosted panels at this year’s event.

Event director, Duncan Siegle, will be joining forces with Nick Morgan to curate Festout. Morgan is the CEO of The Fair who are one of the biggest independent festival production agencies. They have dedicated production, licensing and health and safety divisions and work with a portfolio of over
60 independent shows, including includes Gottwood, Bournemouth 7s, Garage Nation, Eastern Electrics Morgan wants to challenge and talk candidly about our industry when it comes to topics such as licensing, government and LA advocacy and where we are headed.

Morgan is particularly interested in the shift in the wider marketing industry towards events and fiercely believes that Live is quickly becoming the most successful platform for customer acquisition and brand loyalty. “The Festival and Outdoor Show will bring together the best in what we do and enable us to open the floor to open, honest discussion about the industry we know and love.”

“We’re really committed to the outdoor events sector, with our great publications and the outstanding Event Production Show, all of which serve the market incredibly well,” says Siegle.

“However, one of the gaps in our portfolio has been the chance to give our customers with outdoor products a chance to shine in the right environment. e Festival & Outdoor Events Show provides a perfect complement to the Event Production Show, as both events now bracket the outdoor season,” adds Siegle.
