Katherine Jenkins switched on the St James’s Christmas lights on tuesday night.

Prior to the ceremony, the opera star led a carol concert in St James’s Church, where two Christmas trees have been installed in the grounds.

Sourced from Windsor Great Park, which is owned and managed by The Crown Estate, the trees follow the theme of the lights in Jermyn Street, which stretch from top to botton of the road for the first time this year. Snowflake panels by Paul Dart of James Glancy Design are new to the mix.

“The lighting design and scheme is fabulous,” Jenkins said. “Christmas has certainly arrived on Jermyn Street, St James’s”.
