The Harrogate International Centre (HIC) has announced that it will once again host live music shows in its main auditorium following a four-year break.
Jools Holland has been revealed as the first major act to be confirmed to perform at HIC this year, in a show that will also feature Marc Almond.
Live music and entertainment shows previously stopped at the 2,000-seat auditorium four years ago and the HIC box office was closed.
“The time has now come to expand and return the Conference Centre’s main auditorium to its place as a venue for spectacular live shows,” said HIC director Simon Kent.
“The addition of HIC’s main auditorium to Harrogate’s live music scene, along with the Royal Hall, Harrogate Theatre, the international festival and the Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, means the town is now punching well above its weight in terms of live shows and performances.”
Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra will appear at HIC on 22 November.
