More than 25 agencies were invited to Dinerama, Shoreditch, and Hawker House, Canada Water, to sample the street food and drinks available to event bookers hiring the venues.

Attendees, who included Story Events, AOK and Group 7 Events, met at the 1000 capacity Dinerama on 5 Feb before moving on to the 3000 capacity Hawker House venue later in the evening.

Emma Howe, sales director, said: “We were thrilled to welcome so many event agencies to our venues on Friday evening, the feedback has been overwhelming. Our aim for this year is to continue to create unique experiences with bespoke menus from some of the best food traders in the UK for our event bookers.”

London Union owns additional venues in Dalston and Lewisham and hopes to add to its venue portfolio in 2016. The business recently partnered with ISES to host a panel discussion at Dinerama on ‘New events and experiences, what they should look like’.

London Union also has long term plans to open more than a dozen temporary markets in London over the next five years and is backed by big name chefs like Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson.
