Manchester City FC gets ready for annual party

City Live, Manchester City Football Club’s awards and season launch celebration, is preparing for its second annual event.

The party will once again take place at Manchester Central on 14 August. The Barclays Premier League champions and Capital One Cup winners will have comedian Jason Manford to host and compere the party, while Mancunian musician Miles Kane will perform for celebrities and the public.

City Live aims to live up to its inspiration, the MTV Music Awards, by combining music, comedy and awards. Man City players will be up for awards, including Etihad Player of the Year and Moment of the Season.

The celebration will also showcase what’s in store for the 2014/2015 season.

“Last year’s City Live was like nothing I have ever seen in football,” said Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero. “This time round, we have the Barclays Premier League and Capital One trophies, which the fans helped us win, so no doubt it will be another night to remember.”
