Venue consortium London City Selection (LCS) has announced it has seen a 15 per cent increase in membership in 2016, compared to 2015.

The venue collective reported enquiries for event bookings at member venues to the value of £1.8m during the same period.

Throughout 2016, the consortium has welcomed a number of new member venues including Guildhall, The Steel Yard, Gibson Hall, Thistle City Barbican, The Mermaid and 47-58 Bastwick Street – The Institute of Structural Engineers.

Oliver Hargreaves (pictured), chair of LCS, commented: “We have had a strong year at London City Selection, having seen a 15 per cent increase in membership and high levels of booking enquiries through our relaunched website, which has demonstrated real value to members.

“It has been great to welcome so many prestigious venues to the collective and strengthen our offering with a selection of modern and Grade II listed buildings in the heart of the city.”
