Freestyle football is set to return to London with the F3 World Tour 2014 taking place at The O2 on 22 October.

The world’s top 16 freestyle footballers will showcase choreographed routines as they battle to be crowned the World Freestyle Football Champion 2014.

Returning to the UK for the event is Andrew Henderson (pictured), who won the first stage of the 2014 tournament in Beijing this June.  Five-time Argentinian champion Carlos Iacono and 2013 F3 World Tour champion Michal Rycai, of Poland, are also returning for the London stage of the tournament.

The new sport – a hybrid of football’s athleticism and entertainment – sees participants combine music, tricks and moves in an effort to out-stage and out-perform their opponents.

The London-based World Freestyle Football Federation (F3) governs freestyle football. Operating in 92 countries, the F3 aims to educate young people by teaching them that all they need “is a ball” to get involved.
