First Glastonbury headliner revealed

ELO will headline Glastonbury's legend' slot on the festival's Sunday afternoon.

The band is the first confirmed headliner for the festival, which takes place 22-26 June.

Co-organiser Emily Eavis announced the news today (1 February) on Twitter:

The band, formally known as Electric Light Orchestra, reformed in 2012, and has since played Hyde Park in 2014 and the Grammy Awards in 2015. They released a new album, Alone in the Universe, in November.

ELO follow widely praised legend' slot headliners including Lionel Richie, Dolly Parton and Paul Simon.
