Model Laura Whitmore hosted a star-studded fashion event at Battersea Evolution last week as part of London Fashion Week.

The Cosmo Fashion Awards and the ‘Catwalk to Cosmopolitan Fashion Show’ (18 September) saw 1,000 guests attend to celebrate the best in high street fashion.

Hawthorn designed and built the catwalk show, which featured the Autumn/Winter 2014 collections from several high street designers. A 20-metre catwalk and large white set provided a ‘blank canvas’ for the collections.

Hawthorn project manager Tom Ring also created lighting effects and individual moods for each designer, using the latest Clay Paky moving light fixtures. The effects worked alongside Battersea Evolution’s in-house lighting packages.

Hawthorn also filmed the entire show, with a live link to a central screen above the stage.

The awards, judged by Whitmore, Louise Court, Millie Mackintosh, and Shelley Vella, handed out gongs to Topshop, New Look, ASOS, Boohoo, Debenhams, River Island and Swarovski. The evening was highlighted by performance from MO and DJs Krystal Roxx and the SuperFOXXs.
