Temporary structure specialists Neptunus created two venues to support the inaugural Technopop event, held 8 October to 2 November in London’s Stratford City.

Aimed at six to 19-year-olds, Technopop is a pop-up science, technology, design and innovation festival. Visitors can explore Aviation, Weather and Space Exploration, Technology, The Built Environment, and Sport Science & The Human Body – and more – over four themed weeks.

Neptunus supplied two 32-metre Alu Hall structures, which provide 3,000sqm of space for up to 3,000 daily visitors – across café areas, classrooms, exhibition space, and an auditorium.

The structures took Neptunus five days to build, and will take the crew four days to dismantle at the end of the festival.

“Technopop is an exciting new festival that we will be working with for the next three years,” said Neptunus managing director April Trasler. “Our temporary structures afford the organisers the flexibility of space required by an evolving event and potential to expand their venue as the festival grows in future. 

“We are looking forward to a highly successful event,” she concluded.
