Intellitix has been commissioned to deliver cashless payment and access control solutions at 2016's OpenAir St Gallen festival.
The new contract is another result of Intellitix's strategic partnership with Swisscom Event & Media Solutions, which also saw the supplier deliver a cashless solution to SummerDays Festival in Arbon, Switzerland in 2014 and 2015.
OpenAir St Gallen is one of Switzerland's longest-running festivals, taking place in Sittertobel for 39 years. More than 110,000 people attend the festival each year.
Intellitix, in collaboration with Swisscom Event & Media Solutions, offers trustworthy products and services, said Cyrill Stadler, chief financial officer at OpenAir St Gallen. The solutions they offer lead the way internationally and are delivered in a high security and stable environment.
Intellitix has also deployed its RFID technology at international events including Tomorrowland in Belgium, Electric Zoo in the US and Snowbombing in Austria.
We are delighted to have teamed up with Swisscome Event & Media Solutions so we can embark in our second business venture together: the deployment of our RFID technologies at OpenAir St Gallen for the first time, said Intellitix CEO Serge Grimaux.
Customers can make cashless purchases with a simple double-tap of their festival wristband, allowing them to enjoy the music and festivities without worrying about safety or security of their funds, or long queuing and wait times.
OpenAir St Gallen takes place next year from 30 June 3 July 2016.
