UK Events Week will open with two exclusive sessions with Nick de Bois, chair of the Events Industry Board, and Kevin Jackson of The Experience is the Marketing.

The sessions, which will look at the future of the events industry among major corporate businesses, will be the first of a week of seminars and events on the themes of marketing, business and industry.

De Bois will chair a meeting with chief executives and senior marketing directors on how they view the events industry and how it impacts their business, while Jackson is set to join Deborah Armstrong of Strong & Co and Michael Wyrley-Birch of TRO in a discussion entitled ‘How do events get on the board room table?’

Both sessions are taking place on the first day of UK Events Week, on 29 February at the Conrad St James, London.

“It’s important that through these sessions, the industry gets a chance to hear views from outside of the industry as well as inside,” said de Bois. “I’m delighted to bring together a senior table of leaders from some of the biggest companies operating in the UK, to really investigate what the events industry means to them. The session is closed but we’ll be sharing the outcomes from this, and the earlier session, with the industry to get a 360 view from the corporate world.”

UK Events Week will take place on 29 February – 4 March across six locations in central London.
