NOWIE announces networking lunch at EPS 2015

The Network of Women in Events (NOWIE) will host its first event at this year’s Event Production Show (18-19 February).

NOWIE committee members are inviting women in the events industry to join them at Olympia London on 19 February at 12pm for an informal get-together and lunch.

Established in 2013, NOWIE aims to challenge industry clichés by encouraging women to share knowledge, as well as offering support and training to those new to the events industry.

“The drop-in lunch will be the first time we have hosted an event of this kind,” said NOWIE chairman Zac Fox. “We thought it would provide an informal setting for the NOWIE committee to introduce themselves, outline future events, and hopefully inspire greater collaboration within the industry.

The lunch, announced today (28 January) joins a packed programme at EPS that also includes seminars and panel debates. The popular Access Sessions will also return, with Wayne Hemingway, Chris Johnson and Piers Shepperd already confirmed to speak over the show’s two days.
