Police are investigating the death of a man who fell ill at GlobalGathering on Saturday (26 July).

The 20 year-old, understood to be from Coventry, became unwell while at GlobalGathering and was taken from the event to Warwick Hospital by ambulance at about 11PM on Friday 25 July. 

Despite attempts to save him, he was declared dead at the hospital just after 1AM Saturday 26 July. 

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post mortem is due to take place. The man’s next of kin have been informed. 

A GlobalGathering spokesperson said: “Everybody at GlobalGathering is deeply saddened by this tragic loss of life. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends at this time. We are assisting Warwickshire Police with their ongoing investigation.”
