Applications have opened today (Wednesday 6 April) for The Performance Fund, created by charitable funder PRS for Music Foundation.

From 6 April to 23:59 on Friday 8 April, artists will be able to apply for funding, offered by the foundation in association with Wigwam Acoustics and the Musician’s Union.

The four artists chosen will have access to a bespoke monitoring package (including in-ear monitoring, microphones and control systems) worth up to £10k, advice and training, promotional support and an additional £375 for touring costs.

Artists can apply for funding on the PRS for Music website where they will be required to submit two musical examples and a three minute video answering questions about their live dates.

An expert industry panel will chose the four artists from a shortlist of applicants and the successful grantees will be announced on Monday 18 April.

Joseph Frankland, senior grants and programmes manager, PRS for Music Foundation said: “Following the huge demand for our first Flash Fund, we’re pleased to announce this new opportunity for artists and bands that helps to ensure exceptional live sound while offering financial support and crucial advice.

“We’re excited to partner with Wigwam Acoustic and The MU and look forward to receiving many great video applications before the weekend.”
