The University of Cambridge’s Robinson College has launched Green+, it was announced today (17 March).

Green+ is a new service package designed to minimise the impact of commercial business activity on the environment, while helping meet the college’s sustainability goals.

The package encourages environmentally considerate initiatives, and also gives the college’s clients the opportunity to convey their CSR goals.

Robinson College was commended last year at the National Union of Students Impact Awards for its ‘College Environmental Policy’ that acknowledges responsibility for the environment at all levels.

“Achieving our sustainability goals is incredibly important to Robinson College, so we take great efforts to ensure that we are reducing any negative impacts that our commercial operations has on the environment,” said the college’s conference and catering manager Nick Milne.

“Just recently the catering team has joined the college’s ‘Low Carbon Meal’ scheme, which aims to raise awareness of the carbon impact of producing and serving food, and encourages our customers to choose more carbon-friendly meals.”

Green+ is just the latest addition to Robinson College’s Service+ portfolio. It will feature heavily in the sustainability-themed Clic+ event, which will take place on 1 October at the college.
