Royal Parks partners with AEG Live

The Royal Parks has announced a five year partnership with AEG Live to produce a new event in Hyde Park from next summer.

AEG Live succeeds Live Nation, teaming up with The Royal Parks to deliver six summer concerts each year in a new format developed exclusively for the West End site.

[We are] excited to be working with AEG Live on developing an innovative and exciting world class summer concert series, which will provide entertainment while minimising the impact on the park and the local community,” chief executive of The Royal Parks, Linda Lennon CBE, said.

The partnership will see the two organisations work closely together to agree the final look and feel for the concerts, as well as which artists will be performing. The income received by The Royal Parks from the concerts will be used to maintain and manage all eight Royal Parks across London.

“AEG Live is proud to be working with The Royal Parks in the creation of an exceptional and ground-breaking new summer festival for London,” president & CEO of AEG Europe, Jay Marciano, said.

“Utilising AEG’s global resources and expertise in delivering similar landmark music festivals, such as the annual Coachella and Stagecoach festivals in California, this event shall set a new standard for the enjoyment of live music at this iconic location.”
